I was hanging out with my kids on the couch after doing our running around when my son loudly proclaimed he wanted to hike but only if my daughter came too. She was on board! Usually she wants noting to do with walking around the forest so I wasn't going to miss this chance to hike around with both of them. They wanted to go to Bill Yeck park which is a slept on location. Here's what we saw!
The first bit of the hike is through this large field that is popular with bird watchers. Occasionally you will see them with their binoculars.
I am positive that this is a crop circle.
The highlight of this park and especially this particular trail is the MANY creek crossings. They are so much fun and make a simple hike feel like an adventure.
Walking through some grass.
I told my kids that there were definitely some Bigfoot tracks mixed in with these dog tracks. So we kept an eye out for Bigfoots.
Another creek crossing. Look how cool my son's mighty COW STAFF is.
That's right my son's COW STAFF is powered up with a Labubu.
My daughter checking inside this Gnome home. If you didn't know forests are crawling with Gnomes and these are where they like to live. Be respectful.
We were driving around one time and I was joking around and did a Bigfoot call with the hand trumpeting move and my son saw it and has started doing it all the time. This is adorable and cracks me up.
To add fuel to the bigfoot fire someone that lives on the edge of the park has this Bigfoot crossing sign.
Another creek crossing. My daughter really liked relaxing hear and just listening to the cool refreshing sounds of creek water running.
This part of the trail is the rockiest and most treacherous.
This was definitely where a witch used to live. Here are the remains of the well.
Here's the marker telling us all about the Steven's cabin.
Here's a picture of a different cabin from the area that was made around the same time as an example of what it might have looked like.
the strongest evidence for this being the old homestead of a witch? These bars on the well! Clearly they're menat to keep something in!
My daughter also found this unlucky penny right near the well...obvious sign of an EVIL INFLUENCE.
I love bridges out in the woods. The only thing cooler than a bridge in the woods is a boardwalk across a wetland.
I think this is a Wood Dragon! An untrained eye might have missed such a magnificient beast.
There was also a mystery pipe. It may have been a Dwarven periscope.
Gross foam in the water by that tree. What is that grody junk?
These were some pretty cool tree mushrooms.
