Maid Rite Fathers Day 6 15 2025

Went to Maid Rite for some tasty loose meat sandwiches. This place is awesome and always has a huge line but we got in when it was just a medium line and left as the line was getting huge!

My son was really fascinaed by the gum wall. So we got a few close up photos.

Gum ducts
This building is LOADED up with gum and pennies. It's such a tradition that a while back when the lamo at the health department tried to get them to remove it people went NUTS. The patrons of the location let that ding dong from the local government know it's a time honored tradtion.

They even have gum and pennin on this electrical junction box thing. That just seems reckless.

After enjoying these taste treats we headed back home and my awesome BB made me a Peanut Butter cake that I found in an old 1980s style recipe book. It was awesome! The peanut butter frosting was clearly the best part and I think this might be a treat that comes back for special occasions. Maybe my birthday or for Thanksgiving IDK man but it was nice. I should have taken a picture of it for the website but I guess it's just a kind of beige cake.
