Billy Bob's Wonderland 09-02-2024
A while ago my awesome BB discovered there was a Billy Bob's Wonderland in West Virginia with a fully functional Rock-A-Fire explosion. I never miss an oppurtunity to visit the wild and wonderful Mountain state so we packed the entire family into the van and journeyed to Appalachia. This is the location of the Mothman sightings the bridge from Ohio into Point Pleasant. There's a yearly festival dedicated to that beastie that draws quite the crowd. Something I got to experience firsthand which ignited my love for this beautiful state.
The unassuming exterior does not give hint to what is held within.
Most of the games were ticket redemption games which are not for me but they did have a cool Love Tester.
There was also this really cool spider stomping game. I did not see the weight limit until after I was hoppin and boppin all over that bad billy.
I really thought the old Billy Bob's Wonderland marquee on this claw game was neat.
There were also a few coin op rides. My son enjoyed this little merry go round doodad.
Now obviously the real reason anyone comes here is to see these awesome animatronics. You select a show by booping a button and it'll play a song. What was really cool was someone programmed in a Five Night at Freddy's song. There was a group of late teens or 20 somethings that were obviously there because of FNAF.
Here's the real star of the show Billy Bob.
The main stage. I think the mouse is the most unsettling of the robots and the gorilla is the coolest.
Here's an article hung up and framed on the wall.
Most surprisingly the pizza was pretty decent. It wasn't amazing but it was much better than I was expecting. I always remembered Chuck E. Cheese pizza being absolutely bottom of the barrel gross. Was it worth the three hour drive? Absolutely! My son loved it and asked to go back for his birthday. Which probably won't happen because I doubt many friends and family members are as willing to journey 180 miles each way for skeeball, ok pizza and a robot rock show but I sure am.
