My Dragon Quest Stuff
I'm going to start tracking my awesome Dragon Quest collection! Here's most of my cool Dragon Quest stuff. Over time I will grab items off the shelf and take individual photos and write a bit about each item. Not shown are a few of my guidebooks and most of the games themselves sit on my game shelves.
Here we can see my Slime lamp that turns on when it detects motion and my Slime controller for the Switch. I did take it out of the box and use it once but ultimately decided to leave it boxed. I mostly play hand held when out of the house anyway. I very rarely get any kind of time to play games at home. But I did have the idea to play through Dragon Quest XI with that controller. It would have been pretty neat.

While I may not have ever used the Dragon Quest Walk app I could not pass up this awesome Dragon Quest globe complete with the compass slime. Seeing this bad billy in action is pretty neat. The globe spins and rotates and the slime gets to moving and spinning all around! Very cool.
If I'm not mistaken this is the first posted I ever framed. I got a complete copy of Dragon Warrior 1 with the manual, the Nintendo power guide, all the inserts and posters at a yard sale. That was perhaps my most amazing haul ever. I love this poster and think it's really cool.
These were both bought off of ebay. I think they were given away at some conventions around the time of the games releases.
Just like the above posters this one was also bought off ebay after the game was announced. Probably also sourced from some cool convention.
I believe I first saw these on instagram then bought them on ebay. They arrived around Halloween and I had them hanging up in the cab of my pickup truck until my BB made fun of me. To this day I point out every pickup truck I see with lame Star Wars decals or stupid anime stickers all over it. Which happens all too often. I hoenstly do not see the issue with hyper masculine witch Slime plushies in a truck cab. Let me know what you think on the guestbook page where you weigh in on these important topics!
These are some pretty cool dioramas. They were sold as blind boxes but I bought the complete set on ebay. I find the Dracky to be especially endearing. I've never really told anyone other than my BB but the Dracky is my second favorite DQ monster. Those guys are seriously adorable.
I keep the Dragon Warrior boxes on display with my other Dragon Quest stuff to keep them up higher and out of reach of my children. The other NES boxes are just things I happened to pick up along the way collecting mostly. These are the most expensive pieces of cardboard I've got kicking around here if I had to guess. I usually don't go out of my way to collect complete NES games but for Dragon Warrior once I started I had to see it through. Now I have in the back of my mind that I want to get the boxes for the Dragon Warrior Gameboy Color games. It's a slippery slope.
For Christmas 2024 I got this really amazing Liquid Metal Slime roomba thing. I haven't taken it out of the box yet. I really don't want the wheels getting gunked up with hair and stuff. But I do want to watch it bumbling around and zipping and zooming.
Man I need to rustle up the ingredients and make some Alchemy Pot Ice Cream. This was an awesome birthday gift and I cannot believe I didn't post this earlier. Man what a cool little doo dad. Tonight I'm going to look at the instructions and make a list for the store so I can make a video of this baby in action. I can't believe I've sat on this for months and hadn't added it to the website or made Dragon Quest ice cream! I'll have to add a dab of blue coloring and make the ice cream lump look like a slime!
These things are pretty awesome! They were pre ordered a long time ago and were intended as a gift for maybe Father's day? We honestly both forget. But they finally showed up and are FLIPPING AWESOME. I had a few of those old Pixel Pals that you saw all over the place like 5 to 10 years ago. So after picking these up I thought maybe I should check in and see if there are any other cool Pixel Pal lights for sale and turns out they went out of business back in like 2020, that's a bummer.
Christmas 2025 and my beautiful BB blessed me with TONS of AWESOME Dragon Quest items for the collection! Look at these two awesome piggy banks. Now I can live out the fantasy of barging into someones home and smashing their pots and barrels to find $17. Now that's gangster!
Now this thing is AWESOME. I want one for home and one for work. I think for the time being this one will live on my desk, in my cubicle at my corporate job. I can peacefully start each day relaxing with my coffee and rotating my plush cubes to denote what day it is. Awesome!
Now this thing is amazing! It's a Dragon Quest OVEN MIT. I don't know if I will take it out of the plastic or not. I wouldn't want to burn this amazing item trying to get my nuggies out of the oven.
This is something I bought myself when I started my new corporate job. I bought one for my desk at work and one for home and apparently this is the only one of my pixel light guys that I did not put batteries in. I guess I could have done so before taking a photo but I don't know I just wanted to keep updating my Dragon Quest shrine page!
My awesome BB got this for me for my birthday this year. This is a Japanese McDonalds exlusive item. You had to eat a bunch of slop on the McDs app then enter a lottory to win em. Or just buy one on ebay. OR just get it for your birthday because your awesome BB knows you love Dragon Quest. I chose the last option.
This is a russion nesting doll so that slime is full of other slimes themeed after McDonalds chracters. HOW COOL IS THAT? I peronsally really enjoy the Grimmance one and the metal slime.
The very same day I finished up Dragon Quest VII on the 3DS it was announced that they were going to make a third version of Dragon Quest VII. I knew I was going to buy it day one no matter what but man as soon as I saw that ship in a bottle I knew it was going to be PRICEY. And you know what? It was! But I preordered it and was watching the doorstep all day until this thing arrived. You know what else? I immediately hopped right back into DQVII again. I thought I would need more breathing room between playthroughs but nope I got right back in there. I really love the graphical style and have been loving the combat. I am not too far into the game. (SPOILERS FOR A 26 YEAR OLD GAME I've just finished the part where Prince Kiefer leaves the party) I had a sick day from work and played it the ENTIRE day and it was awesome. If it wasn't for my kids getting me sick ALL the time I would have liked to just play hooky and dedicate the entire day to playing games. Man that would be so cool. Anyway here's ALL of my Dragon Quest VII stuff. I haven't played the orignial yet and I think I might do it on my new ROG Xbox Ally X so I can unlock Retro Achievements which I am excited about right now because I finally got that set up and working yesterday.
Here's a closeup of the ship in a bottle. Man isn't that thing cool? I'm so glad this was released on the Switch. I'm BOYCOTTING the Switch 2 and will only buy it once they kill of the Keycards. I might buy some physical carts for things I get REALLY excited about (Dragon Quest games) but I'm glad I could grab this on something I will actually play it on. I did download the PC demo on the ROG Xbox Ally X and man it looked amazing. But holy smokes that is a cool item to add to the Dragon Quest collection!
